2. Prayer and Pledge of Allegiance.
3. Approval of Meeting Minutes: July 24, 2017
4. Audience Participation: Any item on the agenda.
5. CONSENT AGENDA
Any Commissioner, staff member, or anyone in attendance who would like to have an item on the Consent Agenda removed for further discussion can request so now. Is there a request for the removal of an item(s) on the Consent Agenda?
Accept motion to approve the items on the Consent Agenda, which are listed as follows:
a. Moving Ben Peters from probationary to regular full-time employment status in the position of Maintenance Specialist in the Public Works Department.
b. Resolution 2017-R-22, a Resolution of the Township of Lower Allen Board of Commissioners, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, authorizing the acquisition of an easement for street right-of-way purposes within the Township by agreement in lieu of condemnation.
c. Reduction in Improvement Security for SLD Docket No. 2015-08, Highpoint Phase 1.5, establishing a new amount of $685,861.21 and a new expiration date of August 2, 2018.
d. Tax Collector’s July 2017 monthly report.
6. PRESIDENT BLACK
a. Check Register of August 4, 2017 in the amount of $149,765.58. Manual Check Register of July 6, 2017 in the amount of $91.04. Voided Check Register of July 7, 2017 in the amount of $449.85.
b. Motion to adopt Resolution 2017-R-23, a Resolution of the Commissioners of Lower Allen Township in support of House Bill 1013, reimbursement for emergency medical services for non-transport services.
7. Any business pertinent to the Township. Discussions will be limited to fifteen (15) minutes per person.
8. PUBLIC SAFETY
a. Accept a motion to accept a certified list of eligible candidates, as presented by the Lower Allen Township Civil Service Commission.
b. Discussion and possible action: Motion to make a conditional job offer to Kimberly Floyd in order to begin physical, psychological and polygraph testing. Hiring resolution to be adopted at the August 28th public meeting.
9. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
a. Discussion: SLD Docket No. 2017-03, 1106 Carlisle Road – Subdivision and Land Development Plan for a 2,140-square foot restaurant with drive-through.
b. Discussion: SLD Docket No. 2015-13, Stone Gate Village: Request for release of Improvement Security.
a. Discussion: Resolution 2017-R-25, the Township’s 2018 pension Minimum Municipal Obligation (MMO) and Pension Budget.
a. Discussion: Trick or Treat night
b. Discussion: 2018 West Shore Recreation Commission 2018 budget and per capita contribution rate.
