REGULAR MEETING

October 9, 2017                                                                                              7:00 PM

AGENDA

1. Call to Order by President Black. Proof of Publication.

2. Prayer and Pledge of Allegiance.

3. Approval of Meeting Minutes: September 25, 2017

4. Audience Participation: Any item on the agenda.

5. CONSENT AGENDA
Any Commissioner, Staff member, or anyone in attendance who would like to have an item on the Consent Agenda removed for further discussion can request so now. Is there a request for the removal of an item(s) on the Consent Agenda?

Accept motion to approve the items on the Consent Agenda, which are listed as follows:

a. Awarding a contract to Tyson Fence Co., Inc. in the amount of $6,887.00 for the Peters Field Outfield Fence Replacement Project.

b. Waiver of the requirement contained in Section 192-24.C to submit a Preliminary
Plan for SLD Docket No. 2017-05: Subdivision Plan for Arcona Neighborhoods.

c. Waiver of the requirement in Section 192-57B(2)(h)[2] to provide additional right-of-way along an existing street for SLD Docket No. 2017-05: Subdivision Plan for Arcona Neighborhoods.

d. Waiver of the requirement contained in Section 192-57C (9) to provide sidewalks along all street frontage for SLD Docket No. 2017-05: Subdivision Plan for Arcona Neighborhoods, until such time as the installation of same has been deemed necessary by the Township for the health, safety or welfare of the general public. These improvements shall be made at the owner’s expense. This is a covenant running with the land, which shall bind the owners, their successors, heirs and assigns.

e. Waiver of the requirement contained in Sections Section 192-57.B(2)(h)[2] and 192-57.C(8) to provide curbs on all street frontage for SLD Docket No. 2017-05: Subdivision Plan for Arcona Neighborhoods, until such time as the installation of same has been deemed necessary by the Township for the health, safety or welfare of the general public. These improvements shall be made at the owner’s expense. This is a covenant running with the land, which shall bind the owners, their successors, heirs and assigns.

f. Waiver of the requirement contained in Sections Section 192-57.B(2)(h)[2] 192-57.C(13) to provide fill-in paving for SLD Docket No. 2017-05: Subdivision Plan for Arcona Neighborhoods, until such time as the installation of same has been deemed necessary by the Township for the health, safety or welfare of the general public. These improvements shall be made at the owner’s expense. This is a covenant running with the land, which shall bind the owners, their successors, heirs and assigns.

These waivers and modifications are not contrary to the public interest, and they maintain the purpose and intent of the Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance.

g. SLD Docket No. 2017-05: Final Subdivision Plan for Arcona Neighborhoods: Lot line adjustments and subdivision of four existing tracts, resulting in 10 lots, with a combined total of 185.23 acres

6.  PRESIDENT BLACK

a. Check Register of September 29, 2017 in the amount of $268,295.97. Manual Check Register of September 2017 in the amount of $7,261.00. Voided Check Register of September 2017 in the amount of $4,524.65.

7. Any business pertinent to the Township. Discussions will be limited to fifteen (15) minutes per person.

8. PUBLIC SAFETY

a. Discussion: Probation period ending for Captain Crone.

b. Adopting Resolution 2017-R-32, a resolution of the Board of Commissioners of Lower Allen Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, Proclaiming the week of October 9th, 2017 as 2017 Fire Prevention Week.
