REGULAR MEETING

AGENDA

1. Call to Order by President Black. Proof of Publication.

2. Prayer and Pledge of Allegiance.

3. Approval of Meeting Minutes: August 13, 2018 Regular Meeting

4. Audience Participation: Any item on the agenda.

5. PRESIDENT BLACK

a. Check Register of August 17, 2018 in the amount of $238,210.42.

b. Accept a motion to release Police Officer Kimberly Floyd from Probation Period.

c. Accept a motion to enact ORDINANCE 2018-06, an ordinance of the Board of Commissioners of Lower Allen Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, hereby expressing the Board’s intention to organize a Stormwater Authority under the Municipality Authorities Act (as amended) for the purpose of exercising the powers conferred by the act; appointing the first members of the Board of the Authority; authorizing the execution of the articles of incorporation and preparing legal notices for the creation of the Authority.

d. Accept a motion to enact ORDINANCE 2018-07, An ordinance of the Board of Commissioners of Lower Allen Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, amending the Code of the Township of Lower Allen 1997, by amending Chapter 147, Noise Control, to prohibit noise associated with the use of consumer fireworks in the Township.

e. Department Reports for the month of July for Community Development, Township Engineer, Public Works, and Public Safety.

6. Any business pertinent to the Township. Discussions will be limited to fifteen (15) minutes per person.

7. PUBLIC SAFETY

a. Discussion: Increase in Part-Time EMT-I Hourly Rate.

b. Discussion: Letter of Support to District Attorney for Crimewatch.

8. TOWNSHIP ENGINEER

a. Discussion: Public Works building addition.

9. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

a. Discussion: Updating Chapters 70, 103, and 162 to synch with impending 2015 UCC Codes.

10. MANAGER

a. West Shore Recreation Commission 2019 budget and per capita contribution.

b. Discussion and possible action: Liquor license transfer request public hearing date.
