MEDIA RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Date: 7/07/2023

SUBJECT: Lower Allen Township Goes Solar

On Monday, July 10th at 5:00 pm, Lower Allen Township will throw the switch to begin powering the Municipal Services Center with electricity generated from their newly installed solar panel arrays.  Some of these panels were installed on a parking canopy designed to keep the Township’s police vehicles out of the weather.

The public and press are invited to attend this ceremonial “switching on” to a new era in sustainability for the Township residents. The ceremony will take place at 5:00 pm at the Lower Allen Municipal Services Center, 2233 Gettysburg Road, outside the Public Safety wing of the building.
