PUBLIC NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Commissioners of Lower Allen Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, will consider enactment of Ordinance 2024-02 at a Public Hearing on Monday, October 14, 2024, commencing at 5:30 p.m., prevailing time, at the Municipal Services Center, 2233 Gettysburg Road, Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, 17011, or at a subsequent public meeting of the Board of Commissioners. A summary of Ordinance 2024-02 is as follows:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF LOWER ALLEN TOWNSHIP, CUMBERLAND COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, AMENDING THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF 2023 AS AMENDED AT CHAPTER 65 ANIMALS AND AT CHAPTER 220-151 NON-INTENSIVE AGRICULTURAL USES, TO PROVIDE FOR THE KEEPING OF DOMESTIC FOWL AS A PERMITTED ACCESSORY USE IN THE R-1 ZONING DISTRICT WITH RELATED REGULATIONS
The amendments to Chapters 65, 220-11, and 220-151 by proposed by Ordinance 2024-02 are summarized as follows:

- Amend the definition of the term Animal to include fowl.

- Permit the keeping of non-commercial fowl in the R-1 Zoning District.
- Provide use regulations for the keeping of non-commercial fowl in the R-1 Zoning District.
A copy of the full text of the proposed Ordinance may be examined at the Municipal Services Center, address as stated above, Monday through Friday, during the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., prevailing time, in the office of the Township Secretary, and on the Township website at www.latwp.org.
