National Night Out – Tuesday, August 7, 2018
Lower Allen Township Police Department is beginning to plan for the annual National Night Out campaign. In the past, we took all of our manpower out, visiting with residents in their own neighborhoods. However, over the years, participation at the neighborhood level continued to decline. In 2016, we decided to host a centralized event at our Municipal Services Center. With the potential of this event continuing to grow, we chose to reach out to a larger venue. Christian Life Assembly has agreed to be our host venue for this growing event.
The purpose of National Night Out is to promote police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. We will provide a special “meet your neighbors” area, where event attendees can stop by to pick-up a “neighborhood” tag to wear during the event. We hope that this will give attendees an opportunity to form new relationships with neighbors they do not know and visit with those they may not see on a regular basis.
Local Businesses and Organizations are encouraged to partner with us during this very important event. Lower Allen Township residents are encouraged to attend.
