OLD BUSINESS

Egg Hunt

Mrs. Paul discussed the Egg Hunt.  She thought it went well and was well attended.  She stated there were plenty of goody bags and the timing went well.  Ms. Parry talked about getting another megaphone as it caused her pain again this year.    Mrs. Paul spoke about the great job Mr. Duncanson did as the Easter Bunny.  Discussion ensued.  The Board thanked Mrs. Paul for all her hard work on the hunt.

Gardeners Gathering

Ms. Parry thanked Donna for putting together the flyer for the Gardeners Gathering event.  She stated they won’t need donations from PA American Water this year.  Mrs. Paul handed out the donation letters for the Board members.  Ms. Parry will go to Highland Gardens.  She stated she is off Friday before the Gardeners Gathering event and can help pick up donations if necessary.  Mrs. Paul will bring the snacks and Ms. Parry will handle the drinks and condiments.  Ms. Parry asked everyone to be at the Barn by 9am.

Mrs. Paul spoke about the surveys turned in last year.  Some of the suggestions provided included:  rain barrel, best way to exterminate invasive weeds, native plants, flowers, butterfly gardens, and information on wildlife.  She read a suggestion from an attendee last year about a different way to approach the plant swap.

Ms. Parry will confirm the 10:00am session of Ask the Experts.  She stated Jon Schach, who is conducting a presentation on pruning young and small trees, would like to sell a guide book with easy to understand directions on how to prune trees in any landscape at the event. She will send an email to Mr. Vernau about him selling the books.  Mrs. Paul will ask Mr. Chianos if there are any trees that they could prune at LACP near the barn as part of the presentation.  Discussion ensued.

NEW BUSINESS
