Division of Fire & Rescue Services
The Division of Fire and Rescue Services (DFRS) provides fire and emergency services to township citizens and its visitors. The division’s response system is comprised of three fire rescue stations providing a wide range of services including, emergency preparedness, education, prevention, and response. The Township’s 10 square miles is covered by a dedicated and talented workforce of career and volunteer members. The career staff operate out of the Municipal Service’s Center (MSC), 2233 Gettysburg Rd Camp Hill PA 17011. DFRS consists of two volunteer fire companies. The Lower Allen Fire Company #1 operates out of the MSC and Station #2, 800 Rupp Avenue. The Lisburn Community Fire Company operates out of its station, 1800 Lisburn Rd Mechanicsburg PA 17055.
The DFRS is responsible for coordinating and providing an efficient and effective delivery of fire, medical, rescue, and life safety emergency services within the Township limits and under mutual aid to areas in need.
DFRS also strives to improve the quality of life for Township residents by providing public education, select code enforcement, and ongoing training for firefighters.
DFRS is led by a professional executive team consisting of a Fire Chief, Fire Codes Compliance Official, Training and Recruitment Officer, 2 Lower Allen Fire Company Chief Officers, 2 Lisburn Community Fire Company Chief Officers, and an Administrative Assistant.
