Facilities Information:

• Authority sewer collection system in Lower Allen and Shiremanstown consists of over 100 miles of pipe ranging in size from 8 to 48-inches, 2,500 manholes, three metering chambers, and eight pump stations.
• Treatment plant uses a biological nutrient removal activated sludge process with chemical phosphorus removal and ultra violet disinfection to treat a design average flow of 7.5 MGD and 24 MGD peak flow. Additionally, 500 dry tons of Class A exceptional quality biosolids are produced by autothermal thermophilic aerobic digestion and recycled.
