Curbside Yard Waste Collection
Weekly yard waste pick up starts the first week of March and will end the last week of October.
Reminder to use your yellow bins for your spring yard clean up! Yard waste will be collected curbside on your trash day. Place all residential brush and yard waste in your yellow bin.
Grass clippings are not accepted.
Yard waste bins are available for purchase/pick up at the Lower Allen Township Public Works Facility located at 1400 St. Johns Road, Camp Hill. (Open Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 2:30 PM)
Please note that yard waste collection is typically scheduled for the same day as your trash collection; however, when Penn Waste is short on staff or vehicles, collection efforts for trash and recycling are prioritized, and collection for yard waste and bulk waste items may be delayed, rerouted, or pushed closer to the end of the collection week (Saturday).
If Penn Waste should miss a trash, recycling, or yard waste collection, please notify them by 7 AM the next morning utilizing the “Report a Missed Pick Up” form (also located on our website at: Departments → Trash & Recycling → Report Missed Pick Up)
This form is reported directly to the Penn Waste Route Supervisor, who can typically send a driver out to pick up the missed collection within 24-48 hours.
You can also report a missed collection through Penn Waste at: https://www.pennwaste.com/customer-service-missed-pick-up or (717)767-4456.
**If collection is missed, please leave your bin (trash, recycling, yard waste) at the curb until Penn Waste is able to collect.**
