REGULAR MEETING

AGENDA

1. Call to Order by President Villone. Proof of Publication.

2. Prayer and Pledge of Allegiance.

3. Introduction of New Employee, Employee Recognitions for Years of Service, and Employee Performance Award

4. Audience Participation: Any item on the agenda.

5. CONSENT AGENDA
Any Commissioner, staff member, or anyone in attendance who would like to have an item on the Consent Agenda removed for further discussion can request so now. Is there a request for the removal of an item(s) on the Consent Agenda?

Accept motion to approve the items on the Consent Agenda, which are listed as follows:

a. Department Reports for the month of February for Community Development, Fleet Maintenance, Facility Maintenance, and Public Works.

b. Check Register of March 22, 2024 in the amount of $651,124.21.

c. Awarding the 2024 Infrastructure Repair and Paving Project Parts A and B to Kinsley Construction, LLC, the lowest responsible bidder at $677,924.00.

6. PRESIDENT VILLONE

a. Accept motion to approve a Manual Check List for payment in the amount of $2,375.00 to Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott.

b. Accept a motion to accept the resignation of Julie A. Koranda, Accounting Specialist, effective April 2, 2024.

c. Adoption of Resolution 2024-R-11, proclaiming the month of April 2024 as “Pennsylvania 811 Safe Digging” month.

d. Accept a motion to adopt Resolution 2024-R-12, a Resolution of the Board of Commissioners of Lower Allen Township appointing Isaac R. Sweeney. P.E. as Community & Economic Development Director, effective April 8, 2024.

e. Accept a motion to adopt Resolution 2024-R-13, proclaiming the week of April 7 – 13, 2024 as “National Library Week” in Lower Allen Township.

f. Accept a motion to accept the retirement of Beverly A. Putric, Billing Analyst, effective April 5, 2024.

7. Any business pertinent to the Township. Discussions will be limited to ten (10) minutes per person.

8. PUBLIC SAFETY DIRECTOR

a. Discussion and possible action: Promotions of two Patrol Officers to the rank of Corporal to fill current and future vacancy.

9. PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR

a. Discussion and possible action: Permission to advertise for a Maintenance Specialist position in the Public Works Department.

10. MANAGER

a. Discussion and possible action: Writing a letter to our legislators regarding House Bill No. 1632 and Senate Bill No. 365, expanding workers compensation for post-traumatic stress disorder claims.

a. Personnel issue – retirement.
