11-21-19 Meeting Notice

Zoning Hearing Board (ZHB) Docket 2019-09 pertaining to potential redevelopment of 1500 and 1510 Cedar Cliff Drive by Sheetz, Inc. was originally scheduled for public hearing on August 15, 2019.  Due to interaction between Sheetz representatives and individuals and groups concerned about possible impacts of the redevelopment, the public hearing was postponed 3 times. 

On October 31, 2019 Sheetz, Inc. submitted a revised plan depicting a smaller building and smaller convenience store within that building, along with an amended ZHB application seeking alternate relief from what was originally requested by its July 2019 application.  Lower Allen Township staff is in the process of completing required public notice for the “continuation” of the public hearing, scheduled during the ZHB meeting that will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2019.  The public notice follows:

10-17-19 Notice

The Township has received several inquiries regarding the letter requesting that the public hearing for Docket 2019-09, Sheetz, be continued to the November 21st 2019, Zoning Hearing Board meeting.  The ZHB will convene a public meeting tomorrow at 7:00 pm and take action to grant the continuance before commencing with the public hearing for the other docket on the agenda.  No testimony will be taken regarding the Sheetz proposal tomorrow.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Zoning Hearing Board (ZHB) of Lower Allen Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, will convene a meeting on Thursday,

October 17, 2019 at 7:00 p.m., at the Lower Allen Township Municipal Services Center, 2233 Gettysburg Road, Camp Hill, Pennsylvania to consider:

  1. CLICK HERE TO REVIEW THE CONTINUANCE OF Docket #2019-09 – The continuation of a hearing from August 15, 2019 Zoning Hearing Board meeting for Sheetz, Inc. at 1500 & 1510 Cedar Cliff Drive.
  1. Docket #2019-11 – The application of Derry Young, High Associates, Inc. 5000 Ritter Road, Suite 201, Mechanicsburg, PA is requesting a special exception in accordance with Section 220-241 of the Codified Ordinance of Lower Allen Township to reduce the number of off-street parking spaces at 4910-4932 Louise Drive.
  1. Any matters of general business and to deliberate upon any such matters which are pending before the ZHB and which are appropriate for consideration at a public meeting

8-15-19 Notice

NOTICE is hereby given that the Zoning Hearing Board (ZHB) of Lower Allen Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, will convene a meeting on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at 7:00 p.m., at the Lower Allen Township Municipal Services Center, 2233 Gettysburg Road, Camp Hill, Pennsylvania to consider:

  1. Docket #2019-04 – The application of JMS Property, LLC, 4500 Gettysburg Road, Mechanicsburg, PA is requesting a variance from Section 220-242.L.2.(b) of the Code. The applicant wants to encroach into the required side yard setback with a new parking area.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

The Lower Allen Township Zoning Hearing Board (ZHB) will convene a meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 21, 2019 in Gorgas Hall, Lower Allen Township Municipal Services Center, 2233 Gettysburg Road, Camp Hill, PA  17011 to continue the public hearing in re:  Docket 2018-09, the application of Youssef Youssef to establish a home occupation tailor shop, with sign not to exceed 6 square feet, at his residence, 1710 Carlisle Road, Camp Hill, PA  17011.

The public hearing commenced as originally stated in public notice on December 20, 2018.  During this hearing, the applicant requested, and the ZHB granted a continuance until January 17, 2019.   A subsequent continuance until February 21, 2019 was granted to accommodate the applicant’s request for additional time to prepare a site plan that will provide details of proposed off-street parking and a sign.
