PUBLIC SAFETY AD HOC FINAL REPORT

Home»Public Safety»PUBLIC SAFETY AD HOC FINAL REPORT

AD HOC LOGO

At their February 28th Public Meeting the Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to appoint a 21‐member Public Safety Ad Hoc Committee to study Public Safety Services in the Township and provide a report to the Board by September 2019. The Committee will engage in an intensive review of police, fire, and EMS services from the historical, current and future perspectives beginning in April.

The last Public Safety Ad Hoc Committee was formed by the Board in 1997 and submitted its proposals to the Board in May 1998. Much has changed in both the Lower Allen Township community and the world in the twenty plus years since the last study, which focused more on fire services than the totality of public safety services.
