09/13/24 Update: ADA Ramp work in Highland Estates Development

Kinsley Construction anticipates beginning work to replace the ADA Ramps in the Highland Estates Development on Monday, September 16. The location of the work is shown on the map below. Access will be maintained for emergency vehicles, mail carriers, trash collection, school buses, and local residents. Please be advised that temporary “No Parking” areas may be established in certain locations as work progresses. Additionally, please be mindful of increased activity and traffic in the area while the project work is underway. For questions or concerns please contact the Township office at (717) 975-7575.

Access will be maintained for emergency vehicles, mail carriers, trash collection, school buses, and local residents. Please be advised that temporary “No Parking” areas may be established in certain locations as work progresses. 06/28/24 Update: Allendale Milling and Paving Work Pausing During Week of Independence Day

With the upcoming July 4th holiday, the paving contractor will pause work within the Allendale development at close of business on Friday, June 28th. The contractor will resume paving on Monday, July 8th and continue until completed. Please continue to note the locations of the “No Parking” cones placed at the edge of the roadway as work progresses. 06/06/24 Update: Allendale Milling and Paving Work Starting 06/17/24 – Temporary Road Closures and No Parking Areas

Kinsley Construction tentatively plans to begin the milling and paving work in the Allendale Development the week of June 17, weather permitting. The location of the work is shown on the map below. During the milling work, access will be maintained for emergency vehicles, mail carriers, trash collection, and residents. Please be advised that temporary “No Parking” areas will be established on roads as work progresses. Road closures will be needed during the paving portion of the work. Kinsley Construction will be using Traffic Control Flaggers to help residents navigate around the road closures. This work is weather dependent and may encounter delays in the event of rain.

05/16/24 Update: Highland Estates Stormwater Infrastructure Work Starting 05/21/24 – Temporary Road Closures and No Parking Areas

Kinsley Construction anticipates beginning work to replace the Stormwater Infrastructure in the Highland Estates Development on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The location of the work is shown on the map below. Access will be maintained for emergency vehicles, mail carriers, trash collection, school buses, and local residents. Please be advised that temporary “No Parking” areas may be established in certain locations as work progresses.

On January 26, 2024 letters were issued to residents in the Allendale, community regarding the milling and overlaying of streets expected to begin in the Spring or Summer of 2024.

On January 26, 2024 letters were issued to residents in the Highland Estates and Highland Village, communities regarding the ADA ramps and stormwater infrastructure repairs expected to begin in the Spring through Fall of 2024.

11/29/23 Update: Deerfield Road Closure / Detour

Deerfield Road will be closed between Fineview Road and Cricket Lane on Thursday, November 30th from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. for stormwater infrastructure replacement. Here is a map indicating the road closure and detour route:

Allendale Way will be closed between the intersection of Blacklatch Lane and Blacksmith Lane for stormwater infrastructure upgrades on Wednesday, November 29 and Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 7AM to 4PM.

The following plan shows the scheduled detour.

09/13/2013 UPDATE:

Lower End of Highland Park:
Kinsley Construction is finishing work on the stormwater and ADA Ramp improvement project in the Lower End of Highland park. ADA ramp construction has been completed. Stormwater installation work is nearly finished. It is anticipated that crews will begin asphalting the stone trench within the next few days, weather permitting. Once completed they will mobilize equipment to mill and pave the roads designated for paving.

Allendale:
Kinsley Construction has begun the stormwater infrastructure replacement. Please be patient while their crews are working in and around the roadway. Be aware that there may be temporary “NO PARKING” restrictions put in place as well as temporary road closures with detours.

FIRST UPDATE:

Lower End of Highland Park:
Kinsley Construction is continuing to perform work on the stormwater and ADA Ramp improvement project in the Lower End of Highland park.  ADA ramp construction is projected to be completed by the end of July and crews will begin patching the areas in front of the ramps. Stormwater installation work is ongoing on Norman Rd. Crews will begin patching the stone trench with asphalt as work continues up Norman Rd towards Lowther Rd.

Allendale:
Kinsley Construction is projected to begin the installation of new ADA Ramps and stormwater infrastructure within the next few weeks. Please be patient while their crews are working in and around the roadway. Be aware that there may be temporary “NO PARKING” restrictions put in place as well as temporary road closures with detours.
